There’s nothing more annoying than fighting all night long with a pesky flea or mosquito! Besides yawning all day after a sleepless night, you have to deal with those flea bites on your body.
Yes, I have pets and I know they brought the flea colony inside the house even if I used all sort of delousing solutions to prevent this from happening. Fleas are fleas! They stick on pet’s fur and giddy them up until they get indoors to bite you up.
So, you have to get rid of this flea problem by controlling them from the outside. This way you’ll keep them away from your pets and beds!
How to control fleas indoors?
First of all, shake all your beddings and apply a homemade flea repellent as it follows:
- mix equal parts of white vinegar and water in a spray bottle and spray the solution over the mattress, beddings, in the wardrobe (these tiny creature can sneak everywhere), on the carpet, everywhere.
The next move is to check your pets and apply the same vinegar flea repellent to them. But before spraying them over with vinegar, make sure your pet has no cuts or sores.
How to get rid of flea outdoors?
Well to prevent fleas to jump from lawn on pets use Dawn Dish Soap to control fleas in the yard. Wondering how does Dawn Dish Soap works? Well, the soap will coat the fleas and it will kill them. Besides, it’s the cheap version of any chemical pesticide.
How to use Dawn Dish Soap?
- 1 bottle of Dawn Dish Soap
- 1.5 gallon of water
How to prepare?
Yeah, it may require many bottles of Dawn Dish soap, but the solution must be concentrated for the fleas to suffocate under the soapy coat.
So, in a 2 gallon sprayer, add Dawn dish soap and fill the rest with water. Mix well with a stick or just shake the dispenser until these 2 ingredients are well incorporated. For maximum effect you can add 200 ml of white vinegar.
How to use?
Spray each inch of your garden with this solution. Yeah, your lawn will be a bit sudsy, but it will subside until the morning.
This solution must be applied weekly for a month, and then apply it monthly for maintenance.
Extremely important! The best time for you to do this is during the evening, as it gives the detergent enough time to get to work before the sun comes out.
