Simple trick that will make your freshly cut flowers last longer

You like to have the house full of flowers, but you’re sad because they don’t last too much? Here’s a simple and effective trick which significantly increases the life expectancy of the freshly cut flowers.

There’s no need to spend a lot of money on expensive treatments. You can prepare yourself at home an efficient solution with ingredients you already have. Here’s what you need:

– 1 teaspoon of sugar
– 1/3 teaspoon of chlorine
– 2 teaspoons of lemon juice
– 1 liter of water (room temperature)

Mix all ingredients until the sugar melts and add the resulting liquid in the vase. Sugar will give plants the nutrients they need and lemon balances their pH level. Meanwhile, chlorine kills bacteria in the water, thereby increasing the life of the plant.

Careful! Do not forget to change the water daily and to wash the flower vase before each use.
